This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application RomanceMe (the "App").

• Hosting and Database Providers: Railway and its infrastructure providers host our application services and database.
• Diagnostics: Sentry receives error and performance information, and may receive your RomanceMe user ID, email address, and display name so we can investigate account-specific problems.
• Advertising: Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) provides rewarded advertisements and may process advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, and ad interactions according to your device settings and tracking choices.
• Purchases: RevenueCat, Apple App Store, and Google Play process and validate purchases and subscriptions.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law or valid legal requests
• Business Transfers: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale

Data Location

Your primary RomanceMe account and reading data is hosted through Railway and database infrastructure located primarily in the United States. Our service providers may process data in other locations as described in their own privacy notices.

Children's Privacy

RomanceMe is not intended for users under 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 17. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us immediately.

International Users

If you access the App from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the App, you consent to this transfer.

Third-Party Services

Diagnostics and Advertising Partners

• Sentry: Helps identify crashes, errors, and performance problems.
• Google Mobile Ads (AdMob): Delivers rewarded ads, measures ad performance, and may personalize advertising when you permit tracking.

Payment Processing

• RevenueCat: Manages in-app purchases and subscription services. RevenueCat processes purchase validation but does not directly handle payment information.
• App Store & Google Play: All payment processing is handled through Apple App Store and Google Play Store. We do not directly store credit card information.

Data Retention

We retain account information while your account is active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with law. When you use Profile > Delete Account:

• Your RomanceMe account, active sessions, and associated app records are deleted from the primary service.
• Limited transaction, security, backup, or legal records may remain where required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the service.
• Information previously processed by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, AdMob, or Sentry is governed by those providers' retention practices.
• Aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably identify you may be retained.

Advertising Tracking and Your Choices

On iOS, RomanceMe requests permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before allowing tracking for advertising. You may deny the request and still use the App. You can change the choice later in iOS Settings. On Android and iOS, device privacy and advertising settings may also limit ad personalization. Rewarded ads may still be available as contextual or non-personalized ads when tracking is not allowed.

California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

California residents have additional rights:

• Right to know what personal information is collected
• Right to know if information is sold or disclosed
• Right to say no to the sale of personal information
• Right to equal service and price

European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

European residents have rights under GDPR:
